Don't confuse David Shannon Minerals with Shannon and Sons Minerals. The longstanding and excellent customer service of David Shannon Minerals went south after owner David Shannon passed on to that big vug in the sky.

I used to buy a number of items from David Shannon for my own personal use as well as resale, and was dismayed over the deterioration of service from his former company after David's death. While I am not privy to all the details, I was told that David's wife was the direct heir to David's estate and business, and that's when the problems and issues with stock outs, unfilled backorders, slow shipments, dropped orders, incorrect invoicing, no response by phone or email and so forth precipitated.

Apparently there was some conflict within David's family, with the eventual result that his son Michael Shannon founded and started up a new business, Shannon and Sons Minerals.
