I am teaching Earth Science to 8th graders (my first year) and have inherited many rocks and minerals, I have a storage/lab prep room that is full of rocks. My problem is many are unidentified and the ones that are identified seem pretty obscure. I am planning a rock id project using the rock key and then a rock giveaway day or 2. I have a plan (kind of) but would appreciate any suggestions.
