I am looking for sites to do some rock collecting in the west central area of Illinois. Between Springfield, Quincy, Macomb, and Alton is the area I am most interested in. Just looking for some decent rock for tumbling. Something that would polish nice and have good coloring to it. Any advice on spots I could try. Qurries that someone might know are open to try?

Also would love to find the same type of place on the Missouri side of the Mississippi between Louisiana and the West Quincy.
