Need help identifying this unusual brown rock?

I uploaded some photos of an unusual item, I am guessing is a rock.
It looks like it is made of iron from the dark brown & rust color, but it is not magnetic and my metal detector does not detect it on any of the settings.
Has some weight to it and it has a single deep unusual cavity.
It measures approximately 2 3/4 inches long, 1 1/2 inches thick, 5 inches in circumference and cavity measures 1 1/4 inch across and 1 inch deep.
Your help and response is appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark
