Hi Mark, You can do a white paper test on them. Put them on a pice of white paper then hold a light right above them. If you can see through them they are facet grade. I facet with a XS3 head on a Graves Mack 1. I have a Rhodolite Garnet on the head right now. KOR Carl in WI
