Hello M. Winters,
AMAX mines in southern Missouri are phenomenal! I found a 9' cube lead crystal in that mine, and I could swear there were also some gold crystals mixed in with quartz there. Anywhere around that area is great rock hunting. Lots of marble in southern and mid Missouri.
St. Genivieve also has lots of geodes!
