I'm looking to purchase a set of diamond carving wheels and would like imput from anyone who has had experience using them. In particular the Galaxy wheels sold by Diamond Pacific for use on the Genie. I plan on using them for small to medium size projects working with turquoise, jasper, and, eventually, jade. These things are expensive so I don't want to overkill, but neither do I want something I can't use. I'm thinking 3 wheels: 220, 360, 600 grit, but what about wheel dia. and width? Projects range from 4 to 6 inch high Native American type statues to fins for fish carvings I make out of various woods. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
