Looking for a site within 300 miles of New York

Hello, My wife and I are looking for a place to collect minerals specifically any type of crystals within about 300 miles of New York. We have been to franklin mines in jersey which does not have crystals and we have done the herkimer mines. We are trying to find a place whether it cost money or not that we can find interesting colored stuff. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
