Re: New Season Upon Us

Here the desert is about to cool down so the coming months mark the best time for collecting here in California. I have no firm plans as of yet but usually get out a few times in the fall. I'm pretty new at the lapidary arts but lately I've begun cutting some of the material I've acquired over the years, learning the ins and outs of slabbing with my new saw, so far so good... My grinder/polisher has so far been used mainly for polishing thundereggs and small slabs (oh boy do I need a flat lap!), but any day now I'm about to try my first cab.

Happy cutting to you and everyone else this winter!
