Pretty much, it depends on what minerals or what impurities in the minerals you have. Investing in a more expensive light & having the wrong minerals just means you'll have rocks reflecting a more expensive purple! Just sticking w/LWUV, which is the cheapest version & is the same as poster light bulbs, there are LOTS of things that fluoresce different colors & look GOOD! Try some of the calcite cleavages (sold as "Iceland spar" from Mexico, especially the pinker ones; they'll glow HOT pink. Then, get some autunite specimens, which will glow BRILLIANT green. Get some PA or KY strontianite, for the cream color; some fluorite from OH for bright yellow; & some NM or NV fluorite for intense blue.
