Hope you find good places, but if not, why not, after the summer is over and the bugs are gone, try the plentitude of sites in Maine, especially western Maine (there may be more sites in western Maine than in FL, GA, MS combined?). For that, try this: www.state.me.us/doc/nrimc/explore/index.htm then go to Mineral Collecting, and under it is "Collector's Guide to Maine Mineral Localities, online edition"
