Don't dump or wash that old stuff into the environment.....

Drain and filter the oil for reuse, it's still good. Scoop out the sump and filter it too, You'll be surprised how much oil is in there. Search this forum for the how-to on using a couple pager grocery bags and some plastic buckets to drain and save the oil in the goop. Then once the goop is fully drained and more or less a solid, take the whole thin, bag and all to your local hazardous waste recycle facility. Even drained and etc, it can pollute thousands of gallons of water.

We do this to all our saws twice a year.... keeps the oil clean and the blades love it.
