either by hand or in a small container of water with a fordom drill press,and still holding by hand,drill slow and bring diamond bit out every once in a while to clear debris and keep bit cool,and yes ,you need to drill prior to doing a lot of work on the cab.............make sure you use a flex shaft to keep the electrical end away from the H2o.............i have drilled small holes thru the cab,then made a bail to loop over stone,and riveted a silver pin thru it all,works great,as i have worn a piece of dino bone this way for years........good luck to you.
