I am interested in drilling cabochon pendants to utilize bails with posts rather than glue-on bails. Does anyone have experience with doing this? I'm wondering if the drilling should be done before or after forming the cab and just what one does to assure that the process of drilling does not cause chipping or breaking. I need a mentor on this issue.
