It depends on what you have. Green agate (usually moss agate), green jasper, and "Oregon jade" are found at the coast. the first two can be tumbled with standard tumbling methods; the latter is a little bit softer (it is actually a form of serpentinite) and requires tumbling in a vibratory tumbler with some cushioning media (e.g., ceramic beads) for satisfactory results.
