Hi John,

I googled Dallas rock-hunting and found your e-mail address. I'm just about to visit some family who has recently moved to the Dallas area (Grapevine) and NEED to do some rock-hunting while I'm out there. Since no one else in the family feels the same about rocks, the best I'll get is a short ride to the site and surface-hunting/a little digging, perhaps. Did anyone respond to your querie? Are there any sites that you can recommend? I haven't yet done a search on the geology out there, but I love all types of rock. I guess I'd choose igneous over the others, unless the fossils are unique to what I already have. Any road cuts or fun things like that?
