Respirator needed for wet vibratory flat lap

I just got a 16" Covington vibratory flat lap and was wondering if I should be using a respirator during operation. Does anyone else have one of these laps and use a respirator or not? I have it in a well ventilated garage and I can leave the door open when it is running. I know dry sanding of rock generates dangerous dust, but this is a wet lap.

Thanks for the help,
Dan
