Hi Jay,

I'm currently working on a home-brew polishing disk project similar to yours. I have an arbor that will support 2 disks, one on each end. I'm planning on using 12" or so disks which should have similar fps near the disk edge to your 6" set-up because I will turn them at a slower rpm.

How is the 875 rpm rate of rotation on your set-up working for you? Any motivation to slow it down (or speed it up) further?

I'm also wondering what you used for the 6" aluminum disk to back the felt on your unit?
