Re: I am completely enthralled by this stone

I am with Don Mello on this, it looks like some form of labradorite. Based on your store, I would guess you were at a landscaping materials store? If so, find out where that is quarried. Talk to the quarry manager and let him know that what he is selling for dollars a ton could have the potential of dollars a pound or even a gram. Send him here? It might be worth investigating unless someone here thinks otherwise.

If you do get it cut, you want someone with experience cutting labradorite or spectrolite. Maybe our illustrious board master will have an idea who and who can further identify it.

If you are curious, go to eBay and search for labradorite. As you see, it is a dark material that sells well. This is a light color with a more pastel appeal. I am not the most experienced person around, but I have not seen "Facsination" before. It may just be some more common form of feldspar with an unusual seam?
