I know what they are. They are grub worms that go through the larvae stage in water and inside the tiny pebbles and sand. We used to call them "Rock Bait". There is another grub that encases itself in twigs and small sticks. We call them "Stick Bait". I don't know the scientific names but a trout cannot resist either type.
