Need Help With Stone Artifact Identification
Around 1970 my Dad dug the footer, and foundation for a small drive in near Christiansburg, VA. There were several wooden bowls dug up, and several arrow heads found here also, along with a round flat top stone that measures 12 1/2' to 14" wide x 7" high. The top of the stone has a Y cut into it that is inside of a rounded circle at the top, the bottom is round, and there are two (2) hand hold grooves on it, one across from the other. The stone weighs 76.9 lbs on digital scales.
I have posted pictures (Something to Discuss?) to the Rock Net photo album:
Can someone help me with this?
