I don't know about the suggestion for opticon, it is a messy process. Besides stinking up the house, if you use the oven, it takes a while for it to work. I have switched to using the hot stuff crack filler that goes on easy, sets up almost immediately, and requires very little clean up. I suppose it will depend on the size of the pits,but I have had excellent results with the hot stuff. You can get it at your local rockshop for around $7.00, it has to be stored in the refer as it has a low boiling point.
