If your arbour bearings are in the liquid they stand the chance of getting wet. As they cool down after use they suck coolant into them and if your liquid rusts steel the bearings will start to pit and then wear out. The bearing seals have a hard enough time keeping out the fine ground up rock. Water is ok to use but unless it is cleaned and dried and bearings flushed with an oil or greese you are going to have some damage to steel parts. I say "stick to an oil "
