Re: Cutting Oil?

I have a few ols saws that all came with oil in the tanks and have changed all of them to Shell mineral oil, it is a 10 w hydrolis oil. No smell and a high deturgent content. I like to ust rubber glover when handleing the rocks and foung that old newspapper wipes up the oil very well. My friend uses ATF on his 18" slab saw because its cheeper but it smells and he uses a citrinela oil to cover the smell. I found that putting bricks into the tank helps to raise the oil and keeps the cost down.
