Where to find light blue iridescent

Hello All,

Recently acquired a large collection of rocks and lapidary equipment from a gentleman whos eyes were failing him and decided to pass along over 40 years worth of rock hounding things. Have lovingly restored the equipment to beautiful running order and am going through nearly a ton of rocks. Found in this collection some glass looking material that is of a very light blue iridescent opal-like nature. It is definitely glass though not of any particular defined shape. The man I got this from said it was a by-product. Have pieced together somethings and decided this must be what is called slag. Cut and polished up some of this material and it is striking. There were only two pieces in the collection and he did not have a source for more.

Does anyone know where more of this material could be obtained? Would like to find the light blue iridescent/opal-like kind.

Thanks so much. Really enjoy reading the various message threads and also am learning a lot. Thanks for having this up on the internet.

Chris
