Re: arkansas quartz crystal and diamond mines?

I did not get to collect at Colemans due to ther closure because of a holiday. I was in the area so Iwent to Fiddlers Ridge for the day and had excellent results. Filled five, five galon buckets with material. Upon cleaning I had several indvidual crystal that were 2x6 inches long and double terminated with lots of plates and groups. Also collected three scepters and multiple double terminated singles and complex groups.
The diamond area is a true "pipe" occurance and not salted. It is a legitimate state park and well worth the effort. Recently several large 2+ carat dimonds were found but u have to work and have a little luck too. My wife an I managed to find two small diamonds and the ranger weighed and gave us a certificate of authenticity. Never got rich but woth the effort and cool specimens resulted. Enjoyed Akansas diamond and crystal area and will return when I can.
