Got some tumble polished rocks my dad had done some years earlier, and had set outside in a flower garden. They were quartz agates and had a dull, oxidized, looking surface. Cheapest, easiest, way to renew the polish was toothpaste. If your rocks were really polished, and not cheatered with laquer, this should fix them up.
