Re: Re: Alan Plante

Bob and all, if you would like to write to Alan's wife, her address is
Sharon O'Neil
8 Hamlin Ave.
Gorham, NH 03581

Even though we met face-to-face only twice, Alan and I collaborated on several projects, exchanged emails often daily, and became good friends. Our friendship was not just about minerals. It extended to woodworking, carpentry, renovation as Alan and Sher worked to update their home, Habitat for Humanity, writing, computers, and what was going on in our lives.

Both Alan and Sher were cavers. Perhaps exploring the underworld was even more important to Alan than minerals. He wrote a novel, now in the hands of a publisher, about exploration of a fictitious cave. It is very readable, and I look forward eagerly to seeing it in print. When it appears, I will let you know.
