Hi Steve;

I would say that you are pretty good at IDing rocks. The ones that you identified as granite, most probably are. And also the Agate. Those that you called porphyritic basalt, I would tend to call porphyritic rhyolite. Basalt and rhyolite are the same grain size, but the rhyolite has more silica (It is in the same series with granite). #3 is kind of interesting. I think it is a hornblende granite, but it is difficult to tell. And #5 & #7, I can't hazard a guess.

Identifying rocks or minerals from pictures is a bit chancey, but after they are polished it is even more difficult.
