if you are willing to go for museums. The Denver area has 2 great ones. the Denver Museum of Nature and Science in Denver proper and the Colorado school of mines Museum in Golden.

The Denver Museum has the Alma King on display, the largest, finest Rhodochrosite in the world which was found at the sweet Home Mine. They also have video on it as a camera crew was on site the day it was found. The also have a fine gold collection and an entire rhodochrosite pocket that is large enough to walk into on display.

The CSM museum has a lot of fine minerals from Colorado and Bryan lees and Marty Zinn had portions of their personal collections on loan to the museum.

Both Museums are outstanding and worth a visit if you have time
