Hmm, emerald on emerald action causing damage is certainly a possibility I hadn't really considered much, but as more and more of the emerald material was exposed, I can certainly see that becoming a problem with tumbling.

The manual removal is ok for one or two gem quality stones, but I have quite a few cab quality stones as well. I wonder if adding some more regular rocks with just a few emeralds would help to reduce the amount of emerald collisions occuring within the tumbler. I might try that out with some of the lower quality "salt" emeralds that came out of a bucket.
