Re: Re: So. How long should a diamond belt last?

Now how did you know I was a female?

The belt was a 60 grit, and yes, I was shaping with it. I'm not impatient, I love every step of the process, I was just uninformed.

I do enjoy working with the expanding rubber wheel, though. I think what I'm going to do is purchase a silicon carbide 100 grit wheel. Don't know what I'll do with the rubber wheel yet, but I'm just starting and it'll keep, I'm sure. Never know what the next equipment purchase will be, right?

For what it's worth, the only saw I own is the 6 incher on the combination unit. As a result, any slabs I cut are teeny tiny. I've been to cut some surprisingly small slabs and cab them using creative dopping and clamping techniques. I only do freeform cabs....the only time I did get impatient and frustrated was when I tried to do standardized cabs using the templates and all that. I was more stressful than it was worth.

Sorry if I took to long to reply. Out of town for the weekend.

Can't thank you enough.
