Thanks for all the info. I have used the extension rings for taking pictures of flowers. bugs, etc. with moderate success.

I've talked with a assosiate of mine (that has moved on to work at another location so my source of info is no-longer) about the digital imaging, and like the film/lens-based technology you should start with the best quality photograph possible. Then improve it in the dark room or in digital with the computer/software package.

This assosiate is for digital all the way, he said to buy the best most powerful computer, camera, microscope, software, etc. That is on the market at the time.

Easy for him to say!

So it means which ever way I go.....I will have to start saving now in order to purchase the quality that I would like. Like so many things, you get what you pay for.

Have you or do you dauble in the digital?
