Re: BC, Canada rockhounding?

I would advise using the old highway west of Kamloops. This area is a volcanic area and has many spots with river access. Shaw springs in the Thompson canyon has many areas to gather up agates. If you continue west Boston Bar has good agate areas too. On the new highway the Coquihalla has an area called Caroline Mine, and this has some serpentine and soapstone. But I dont know of anything else up there. I like to use the #3 Crowsnest and hit Princton. If you take a 2 mile walk along the old railroad trail to Vermilian Bluffs this is an easy picking spot. I have more detailed directions to locations. If you want more imfo and what kind of vehical you need to hit some of the hot spots contact me on my e mail address. Also check out the link that the other Mike gave you. Mike Hill you can contact me as well Ive seen you name here often and would like to share some stories. Im in the Fraser Valley. Mike B
