Petrified Palm site in California??

Hi all, I have a problem. I would like to find some petrified palm fiber here in the So. California desert. I have hunted Sperry Wash, Four Corners/Kramer Junction area, Mule Canyon in the Calico Mountains, Gem Hill, Lonely Butte, and Castile Butte. To date I have only found petrified bog and occasional clumps of reeds (most of which is just gray/brown agate like stuff with very little internal pattern or color) but no palm fiber. Does anyone have any suggestion on other potential locations (other than Ebay)?
