Integral-8 by Tom Herbst
At right is a 8.5 mm, 2.65 ct Integral-8 cut from a flawless nodule of light green Afghani tourmaline.
This is my second gem design. It was motivated by my noticing that designs with multiple facets meeting at the girdle provide lots of sparkle. I also wanted an asymmetric design, since they seem to give more interesting, complex reflections.
Integral-8 is a fairly simple design, and is appropriate for faceters with all levels of experience.
The Integral-8 GemCad Design File is available.
